Frequently asked questions
Short answers to what people usually ask about ReyUpload.
1The basics
What is ReyUpload?
ReyUpload is a file-sharing tool from ReyDen. Upload a file or a block of text and get back a direct link you can share, with optional password protection and an expiration date.
Is ReyUpload free to use?
Yes. ReyUpload is one of ReyDen's own products, built and run by ReyDen.
Is there a file size or type limit?
Yes, both are configurable by site admins and shown on the upload form. Check the upload screen for the current max size and allowed file types.
2Sharing and privacy
Do I need an account to download a shared file?
No. Anyone with a share link can view and download the file (entering the password first, if one was set). An account is only needed to upload.
Can I password-protect a file?
Yes. You can set a password when uploading, or add or change one afterward from your dashboard. Anyone with the link still needs the password to download it.
How long are my files stored?
Files expire a set number of days after upload (30 by default, configurable by site admins). Once a file expires, its link stops working.
Can I delete my own file early?
Yes, from your dashboard. Deleting a file there removes it immediately, before its expiration date.
3Content and reports
Do you review what people upload?
No, files are not reviewed before they are shared. The person who uploads a file is responsible for it. See our Rules page for what is not allowed and how reports are handled.
How do I report a file?
Open the file's share page and click "Report this file" at the bottom. No account is needed. An admin reviews every report.
